Academy

Monterey Sailing Academy is a sailing school in Monterey California offering American Sailing Association (ASA)  sailing lessons and certification.  Learning to sail at the Academy is your assurance that you will learn to sail with confidence.  You will learn safety at sea and the arts and crafts of seamanship.  Through the ASA sailing classes you will receive certification that qualifies you to charter boats in ASA centers around the world.   

The Academy offers training not only in Monterey.  Special training cruises are offered throughout the year in favored sailing venues around the world.  See Adventures for more information.

Academy courses begin with a half-day introductory demonstration and progress through various levels of skill that ultimately qualify students for long off-shore passages.
